A little bit light, a corner balance story

I finally got around to corner balancing my car. I took the scales home from the shop... and rolled my car onto them.

The car is "wet" i.e. 3/4 tank of fuel, full oil tank.. full cage,etc...

This is the initial weights with me just having eyeballed the ride height....meaning I set the springs so that the car looked nice and had an even stance.

pretty damn close!!!

took about 5 minutes to achieve this balance.. Im going to throw a couple of sandbags into the driver seat tomorrow and really dial it in a bit closer..

With my newly more svelte self (I lost 30 lbs in the last year) the car+driver should weigh less than 2100#

In all 1846# aint to shabby

Its a race car ...No minimum in PCA .. in NASA I'll have to do a dyno pull and get into one of their GT classes

I'm already trying to figure out where more weight can come off the car.... except that there isn't much left to lighten..

I give a hoot, but didn't know what to say as my "lightweight" 84 weighs nearly 500lbs more....

Pretty darn impressive, I am Jealous.

Cheers

You're into "R" territory there. Impressive. Hell, that probably weighs 600#s less than my miata.

FWIW Tim, I'm impressed. That car should be a real hoot out on the track.

I find it a whole lot easier to lose weight in the car than it is to lose weight on the me.

Regards,
