Just picked up a rust free, clean 1972 Targa on Friday. Me and my wife flew to the Bay area and drove the car back to Phoenix that day, what an adventure!
The car had a Turbo tail and a 74-89 center reflector for some reason that made the ass look like crap. Already removed those. Now I need someone to fill the small holes in the decklid and paint it for me, you guys know any good body shops out here in AZ? The car is pretty much original (it was blue but painted black, decent paint job) and it also has a 78 SC 3.0L instead of the 2.4L. Also looking for an upholstery shop out in Phoenix to sew the driver seat if you guys know anyone! I will post more pics of the car as I'm getting it cleaned up. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Big congratulations and THANK YOU for knowing that tail and reflector have no place on a classic like that. A '72 is my personal dream car, its nice to know someone is gettign a good one. Make sure you post pix of the work.

![]() Funny thing is that as soon as we got on the 580 up in Oakland, there was a gorgeous white 930 following us the whole way. When we made our first pit stop to get gas, he also got off at the same exit and waved at me. I hope he didn't think for a second that I did that to the car! ![]() I will post more pics very soon. |
