Squeek At Front of 911T
 

Getting a squeek/creak noise from the right front suspension area when riding over bumps in the road. Car is a '71 911T Targa. What up there could most likely be squeeking? Shock perhaps? But when I press up and down on the right front fender I don't hear the squeek. Just when riding over medium to large bumps. The alignment also seems to be off. There's a definite pull to the left at speed. Don't know if there is a relation to the squeek/creak.

Is it possible, the front end bushings are too old and dried up that an exaggerated movement of the front wheels causing the squeak.

Underneath, at the front and back of the triangular-shaped arms.
These control arms hold the hub/wheel in place via a "ball-joint" while it swings in an arc over bumps.

The wandering at speed could be due to a number of alignment/tire issues, but first: measure from the top of the wheel arch to the ground on both sides and make sure they are even.
If they aren't, a sagging shock or torsion bar could be affecting the alignment.

I had the same issue in my '72 T. It turned out to be the sway bar droplink bushings - pretty common issue apparently. Easy way to test is to unbolt them and and take it for a drive and see if the creaking disappears.

Hae someone drive the car while you sit in the pass side and move your head around to pinpoint the direction. I had a horrible squeek in my 70S that from the drivers side sounded like suspesion. I made my wife drive while I hung my head out the window trying to find the squeek. Turned out to be the fastener at the rear of the pass fender had come loose and was allowing the fender to squeek against the cowl.
