Help 930 Guru's

I am needing to know where the warm up regulator pulls vacuum? I have posted 2 pictures, the 2nd is where someone else told me the vacuum line should feed from. Right now it is plugged off.

Tripster,

The 930 WUR (or more correctly CPR = Control Pressure Regulator) technically does not react to vacuum, instead it lowers the CIS control pressure based upon manifold boost pressure. The blue silicone hose connected to the CPR in your first picture is the boost pressure line. It should be attached to a T-fitting on the front of the throttle body beneath the butterfly. The other side of that T-fitting should be connected to the vacuum limiter which is the silver canister on the right side of your second picture. Here is a picture that shows their connections:

Your second picture shows a plug installed in the bypass manifold assembly where a control valve is normally attached. That control valve works in conjunction with the smog pump. I am assuming your car does not have the smog pump installed. If that assumption is correct, there is nothing wrong with plugging that connection. This picture shows the control valve attached to a removed bypass manifold.

The nipple on top of the CPR is an atmospheric vent. It does not need to be connected to anything and should remain open to the atmosphere. The original factory airbox has a small fitting where it attaches via a short section of hose to keep any dirt or debris from getting inside the CPR. Note the short hose in this photo:

Are you having problems with your car? What symptoms are you experiencing?

Tripster... what did you end up doing about your vent line? Mine is currently plugged as well. Not sure if that is a good, bad or indifferent thing at this point.

Thanks
