You didn't mention whether it's an underbody or through the body sway bar.

If the former, I can't assist, but consider converting to the latter type. It's more effective and in most cases, adjustable.

If the latter, most aftermarket sway bar manufacturers sell an A-arm kit that includes the drop link U-bracket for cars that don't have them, or one can be fabricated.

Grind off the broken mount, then bolt-on or weld-on the new one (or do both).

I have rotated the bracket from a later a-arm (underbody bar type) to receive the thru the body drop link and bushing. So, I'm sure you can weld it back on, if I cut one off the rewelded same.

The part that is broken is the welded u shaped braket that is on top of the A arm.The car has the standard sway bar .
Do i need to get a new bracket welded on , or is there another solution?
Thanks for any help.
Andrew.

If you are interested in upgrading, all of the good after market swaybars are of the "through the body" type like the earlier cars were. This means that they have a different attachment on the front a-arm anyway. You could use this as an excuse to do the upgrade.

Otherwise you will need to weld on a new loop. I'm not sure if anybody makes a complete weld on replacement loop because it is such a simple piece.
