Which is better: Koni or Bilstein/Boge front strut?
I have Koni's and was fixated on finding Bilsteins only because I have some Bilstein HD front inserts and my old Koni's need replacing. But now I am wondering if I should just get Koni inserts. My rear shocks are shot KYB's and need replacing so if I would like to replace with my old Bilstein HD rears. I was thinking of having Steve Weiner revalve them for my 69E weight with my anticipated 26mm rear t bars.
What would you do? Thanks.

I've seen people say Bilstein HD up front and sports in the rear. I have adjustable Koni upfront and Koni in the rear and I am happy. My car rides very hard which the wife hates but she rarely rides in it so I don't really care.

I think Bilsteins are a FAR better choice for the multitude of reasons we discussed over the phone, but would require converting to the later style ball joint ('72-on). Without question, its a substantial investment over simply replacing/rebuilding the existing inserts but IMHO, its well worth doing,..... ![]()
