3.2 compression test technique

I am new to this car and didn't find specific information in a search. Where is the fuel pump relay or other suitable place to disable the fuel pump? Can I just disconnect the coil or should I ground the HT lead?

Thanks.

Can't help you with the specifics to the 3.2, but in the Bentley manual for SCs, you remove the fuel pump relay (front fuse block, closest to driver's seat), and unplug the connector to the CDI box.

I think if you pull the DME relay from under the drivers seat it will stop fuel flow... there may also be a fuel pump relay or fuse..

also I've seen mention on this site to take the readings with the engine warm

To disable the fuel pump, remove fuse #3. Pulling the DME relay also works, although the fuse is simpler to access.

Better off pulling the DME relay. Kills the fuel pump and the spark. The relay is under the driver's seat right next to the DME and held down by I think either an 8mm or 10 nut. You don't have to remove the seat, just slide it all the way back.
