Anyone in the Indianapolis area ever have a windshield replaced 74-89 911
Well the dealer wont take my car in because of its age. How did you get around this? What should I expect to pay?

Call Terry Heath at Euro Motorworks. The former head tech at Tom Wood, so if he doesn't do glass, he'll know who to call.

Already talked to him he told me to call this guy "Pauls mobile glass" Paul said hes done a couple 911s not more than 5 and that their a pain in the ass thats why the official dealer wont have anything to do with it. He says theres a 50/50 chance the headliner will tear as my cars 30 years old. He said he would do the job if I can find a windshield no quote on price.

You could try Bob Farmer of Farmer Automotive. East side of Indy, Greenfield I think.

I went to a place called "Perfection Aauto Glass" in Bloomington and while replacing the windshield in my jeep, I asked about my 72 targa glass and they said they can get them, have done a few and that they are also a PITA...

Be sure to order a new windshield seal from our host as it makes the installation of the windshield much easier. Mine was just replaced at a local shop for about $325 (Haggerty Ins. paid for it) and the installer was very relieved when he saw the new windshield seal...
