Removed both footwell boards for a cleaning and found a clear plastic tube sticking out of the clutch pedal slot; traced it back to the passenger's footwell where it entered the intake for the evaporator (no mesh grille BTW) but was not connected to anything. Have searched this forum without finding anything plus nothing shows on the exploded views of clutch pedal cluster or evaporator assembly. Any ideas?
BTW, any ideas on what the cut wire harness might be? PO hasn't a clue; maybe the remnants of the Clifford that was yanked before I bought it?

Just guessing here: does condensate come from the evaporator?

A/C hasn't worked since I bought the car last fall...I'm in the process of putting it right. I would imagine condensate does flow from the evaporator, but would expect it to drain directly below the smuggler's box through the tub...not all over the pedal cluster! Again, I don't see a drain in the evaporator assembly in any of the exploded views to determine if and where there may be a drain. From the photos I posted, this clear plastic tube is tiewrapped to other cables & leads...looks factory, non?

What ever the hose was installed for, it is not "factory" and has nothing to do with the A/C. Evaporator drain is in the bottom of the evaporator housing. I would just pull it out and trash it.
Can't help with the wires but aftermarket alarm is a good guess. Where do they go? Good Luck Andrew

Be sure you completely remove the old aftermarket alarm as they can cause all kinds of problems, at least mine did!

my guess is that was some sort of mickey-mouse modification for a drain, using the evaporator box as an outlet. Someone must have been trying to connect a drain for brake fluid or clutch fluid. Hopefully not gas.
