Best FG parts for RS backdate? Also target weight

I have finally sealed the deal on a 79 SC to be my RS clone. Should be picking it up on Monday, will probably be single on Tuesday when she see's there are now 2- too many cars to fit in the garage.
Anyway,
I searched and saw about 20 different opinions, so I wanted to ask one time for myself. It will be a while before I actually buy the parts (looking at a year rebuild time) and wanted to pose some questions.

What fenders fit best and what exactly is everyone talking about cutting up buckets to use with the FG ones? Without seeing them, I have yet to visualize the problem. I was thinking of GT for the fenders.

Also with the Bumpers, same question, what do you guys like best
1- Hood- I have made up my mind to go with TRE.

And finally what is the target weight most people see when switching over? I will be pulling all the noise reduction stuff out of it as well.

Thanks
Phil

the buckets are because the fg ones will not hold a thread to attach the headlight rings with. another option is to glass in a bracket that you can thread for this same purpose. i went with rennspd for the front bumper for my project and am happy with the fit. it will still take some finishing work but into my passenger side fender alone i have close to 15 hours of cutting, adding and removing material just to get it close enough to hang on the car so i can see what it will take to make it look right. if i had to do it again i would just buy metal ones since weight savings in the front is not an issue. whatever you decide best of luck and have fun!

I see that Dave has already responded. But if you haven't already contacted him..you should. The body shop I took my bumpers to for paint, told me that these were some well made parts. I had really no issues mounting them either. Just a few simple questions and I was off and running.

Good luck

Another good word for Dave. I bought my IROC bumpers from TRE and we are really happy with the fit.
