84' 3.2 L Mass air meter Rebuild

Can anyone suggest somewhere to buy a rebuilt Air flow meter for an 84'3.2L 911.
I found online a place called "Auto shopping Center.com" that charges $240.00+core. Has anyone else dealt with them before?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Pk

Thanks for the info. Were some of the pictures of ypur car taken at the F1 last year? If they were I might have seen your car. What an awsome display of European machinery there. I have never seen so many Ferraris, Lambo's and porsches in my life. It was a trip to remember!

Thanks

What makes you think you need your AFM rebuilt?

Flat spot or warn spot. My mechanic had it apart for adjustment due to idle, running to rich and and surgeing issues. can not be adjusted. I was there when he tried it. He knows what he is doing to.

All probably due to worn tracks on the potentiometer. This issue has been discussed here several times. A board member, FRWilk, has a link that shows you how to open up the AFM and move the wiper so you are not on the worn track. Easy to do (I did it on my '86) and doesn't cost you anything. His link is to the 944 AFM, but will work on the 911 AFM. Just scroll down the link until you get to the heading "Refurbishing your AFM" http://frwilk.com/944dme/afm.htm

PK,
If the documented fix doesn't pan out for you, I would post a Want To Buy (WTB) add in the parts section of this forum. A fellow pelican sold me one for $75, and it has worked flawlessly for the past 2.5 yrs.
