1980 SC in Portland, PPI?
I'm looking at a 1980 SC in Portland OR, and wondering if anyone up there knows of this car. It is being sold by a pelican up there, and I like it. Just wondering if anyone knew the car, and could comment.
Also I trolled the BBS and found a PPI up there by the name of Mike Jordan at Stuttgart. The post was from 3 years ago, so I was wondering if anyone could second the recommendation, or list one that would be as good. Any help you guys can give is much appreciated. ![]()

Suttgart Auto is a reputable shop, they have done work for me in the past. Good Luck, looks like a nice car.

I have heard alot of people recommend them, I also have a guy near me that is about an hour south of Portland, the company is called Silverton Autowerks and has a great reputation around here. He checked mine out recently and he is so resonable. He didn't charge me for a PostPI. If you want a compression test that'll be about $65 (which is his hourly rate).
He's a german specialist and knows Porsches.

I'd strongly recommend Stuttgart Autotech for PPI's and any needed repairs.
They are both VERY competant and honest.

I have been a customer of Stuttgart and have been very pleased with the quality of their work. If the car has been serviced by Stuttgart, you might want to try one of the other local shops so they are not inspecting their own work (potential conflict of interest). Kurt at Marque Motors is another shop to consider.

Thanks Guys
So that's a two thumbs up for Stuttgart and a couple more names in case he's serviced there. You guys are awesome. Nobody knows the car? Pelican I'm dealing with is D'STARGA, seems like a really good guy.

Stuttgart it is.
Since I've heard nothing but good about Stuttgart, that's where I'll have it done. Yeah not only buying a new car, but added bonus of getting out of the heat here in DFW. Anything that is a "must see" while driving back?

Another +1 for Stuttgart Autotech & Mike. They serviced my car when I lived in PDX. Another good shop I'd trust is Marque Motors (Kurt), which is just off Macadam in Johns Landing.
Must see list: Any drive along the COlumbia River Gorge is just incredible. You could spend a day hiking the many trails to waterfalls, beaver ponds, etc. Driving around Mt. Hood (to the east of it) is pretty awe inspiring, as well. And a drive up to the volcanos (Mt St Helens & Mt Ranier) just across the border in Washington is equally scenic. Great roads, great views.
