weight removal question

Hey guys. Heres yet another weight question. If I remove the spare tire from the front of the car, would this effect the handling since the front is so light as it is?
Thanks in advance...

Yes,

Take a look at the thread today from kwm. I am not saying that you'll notice 30 pounds or so, but you want to take the weight out of the rear of a 911, if possible.

If you are looking to remove wieght, start by dumping your AC compressor. As previously said remove wieght from the rear of the 911 where you can.

My ac was already gone when I bought the car. I took the spare out since I cant use it anyway and it gives me more room for tools, rags, and such. Previous owner put 18" wheels on it. Its an 83sc. We'll see what happens.

Some of the members in this forum re-located their oil tanks to the Smugglers Box, that way they were able to shift some weight from the rear to the front of the car. If you like you can do a search, you may be able to find the details on how to re-locate it.
