Have any of the multi-talented Pelican engineers out there in the 49 other states tried to fabricate a plenum style manifold for a Holley carburetor that uses CIS intake runners?
Due to my adolescent hot-rodder past and recent discovery that CIS is an ancient Teutonic curse I am looking for a reliable and less expensive alternative to PMO's. (Note my 911 car is down and out due to PMS/CIS).

Good for wide open throttle and that's about it....I've seen a Holly 4 barrel on sand rails and a 911.....the runners are a bit too long to the ports for good midrange driveability.

I ran, serviced, and like them. I may still have a 600 double pumper laying around.
911 air cooled needs IR [indivudal runner] carbs for any action imo. I guess you may be able to devise something but i just figure a good used set of webers may be a better investment? don't forget the expense of carb lines, filters, regulator, etc you may get some decent bang for your buck with only new cams and ignition work?

Holley made a set-up for our cars several years ago. I saw pics of one at a local Porsche shop recently. Not sure if they ever marketed it, and if they did it was for a short period of time (late 70's, early 80's?).
