Howdy Folks,

I could really use some help with this and pictures if you have them. I have an offroad race car with a 3.2 engine in it. I am trying to get the charging system working. There are 5 wires coming out of the Alternator. 2 Red, 2 Brown and 1 blue (per the picture below).

What goes to the Voltage Regulator? We talk about DF and D+ or D- etc., but it would be better to say that 1 Blue and 1 brown goes to the Voltage Regulator etc. = ) Off Road cars tend to not use the same stuff as a regular Porsche car.

I know this is a strange request but any insight I can get would be WONDERFUL! Simple pictures of the Voltage Regulator and what the wires go to?

Thanks.

Eric

My schematic for a 1977 (i doubt 3.2..) with separate Vreg shows DF wire to be Black. Vreg relay bounces +12/grd.

I'm guessing but yours sounds internal Vreg. Pcitures already posted here showing this.
