67 911S Id plate? What is this thing?

I bought a 67S and on the back of the engine compartment where the far left sticker usually goes I find this tag....obviously German. Can anyone tell me what it means?
Does it mean I have a super rare factory rally car or something? I wish.

Thanks

I think AMAG was (maybe still is?) an importer of Porsches into some of the other european countries (Switzerland?).

So I think your car at one time was sent from Germany to Switzerland or some other neighboring country, and that's just the importer's tag.

I vote Swiss.
I'm pretty sure this is an import tag attached when the car was imported at some point into Switzerland.

Hows that for useless trivia that I have stored in the head?

Regards,
Andrew M

My friend, you may have a special car. Check this thread for more trivia: http://www.early911sregistry.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11212&highlight=amag

Thanks to you guys for helping solve the mystery. It appears that AMAG is a dealer and importer of Porsche in Switzerland and my car was first imported to that country. The one link to a post on the 911S registry gave me an email of a guy at AMAG that may be able to help me find C of A type info, I have already sent him an email.

Thanks again!!!

David

Andrew, if it were useless, we would never hear about it!

Extensive posts on AMAG over at Early S registry.
