Everyone,

I apologize for passing some of you on 287 towards Ted's Place, but I realized I had made a huge rookie mistake, I was out of gas, and with how the turbo can drink it, I wanted to get in and out quick.

Long story short, while heading up 14 to catch up with all of you, at about mile marker 99, I turned the corner to a sport bike sliding across 14 towards me. It appeared as though the rider had hit the large outside mirror on a pick up with either his head or shoulder knocking him off the bike and disintigrating the mirror. The rider was seriously injured, and once we cleared the road of the rider and his bike and bike parts, I headed towards Mishawaka to call 911. None of the cell phones had a signal.

By then it was about 12:30, so I decided to head back into town to spend some time with my family since I am in NJ all this week.

I really appreciate all the work everyone did setting it up, especially Michael for hosting and I apologize I wasn't able to make it to Glen Echo or Cameron Pass for all of the pictures.

Steven called to make sure both myself and the car were ok (now that's caring about your customers!) and I explained to him what happened as well.

It was great to meet everyone, and I look forward to our next gathering.

Bill

It was awesome!
Awesome route, awesome people, awesome drive!
We had 16 Porsches I believe: 2 912's, 12 911/964's, one 944 Turbo, and one Boxster.
Great day, weather about 70-80 degrees. Some 'spirited' driving up the canyon.

A BIG THANKS to Michael to organizing this!!!

The picture above was taken at the top of Cameron Pass, about 10,000 feet high. As you can see, there is still some snow up there! inthe background are the Nokhu Crags, unbelievable rock formation and cliffs.

Bill, sorry to hear of all the problems! Man, I can't imagine something like that happening right in front of me! I saw you coming up behind me and pull into Ted's Place. Soory we did not get to chat more! Time to plan another drive!

Craig

Hey all my wife and I had a great time. I think she had more fun on the way up and I on the way down. I was able to exercise the 911 more on the way down.

I think this could/should be a monthly event somewhere around Northern Colorado, we could take turns organizing.

Michael, thanks again for the hospitality, it was nice meeting all of you.

Here are a few snapshots!
