964 quarter-window trim?
Do 964 coupe rear quarter-windows have rubber seals that require the insertion of the soft aluminum trim strip for sealing? I'm trying to get rid of that stuff on my '83 911 so am installing 964 windshield rubber (with a cut-to-size Lexan windshield) and seal-less rear-window Lexan. I bought from Pelican 964 quarter-window seals to be fitted with Plexiglas (no need for expensive Lexan there) and assumed that would do away with the metal strips in that location as well, but they look like they need the metal strips nonetheless.

Isn't there at least one 964 owner out there who can say, "Yes, trim strip" or "Nope, no trim strip"? I need to find out if I somehow got the wrong quarter-window seal.
