Question: My new clock (used) current drawn. Please read.
I set the meter at 200ma, meter runs between batery and the clock, key is off. My digital meter is jump up and down between 1.6 to 3.9 most of the time. If I wait for long, once in a while I saw it flashed up to 8.xx
What does this mean? Why current drawrn from my clock is not stable? Thanks. |
I'm just guessing here...the clock only draws current as it "clicks". It isn't a continuously operatinging movement. Quartz vs. mechanical.

Thanks Danny. I thought so but I am not very sure.
Also, can anyone tell the numbers look ok? Thanks |
What meter is being used?
Best, |
a digital multimeter which you can set the range on current, ACV, DCV, etc. I used 200ma range setting
