Exhaust for 1969 911e
Currently considering my options for replacing the hideous contraption a PO installed on my '69 911e and was hoping to get some recommendations from the group.
I have checked out the various options that Pelican and other sites offer (beyond the OEM) but looking for some real life experience to guide me, so interested in hearing what others have used and how you rate it.... Thanks in advance. Rob |

Show us a picture of what you have now.
There was a recent thread on Dansk Sport mufflers that had some experiences on different mufflers.

Good info on there, couple other posts also, I do know that I'm not looking for any drone but a little extra performance and rumble would be good. Definitely don't want to drown out the sweet sound of the 2.0
I'm out of town for a couple of days so will take a couple of pics when I get back. Rob |

In general, don't expect more performance from any street muffler for a 911. The muffler is not a bottleneck on our cars. More sound? Check. Better looks? Also check. More performance? Not so much.

Is there an issue with what you have? Is the sound not what you want? The advantage to what you have is it is light weight. I can't speak for its sound however.
Other options are stock muffler. It will be quiet and heavy. Will work OK. A Dansk sport 2 in 1 out will be louder than stock, heavy, and slighly more power than stock. No drone. A Dansk sport 2 in 2 out will be louder than stock, heavy, and possibly drone at 2 to 3k rpm. A stock muffler, converted to a factory sport dual outlet style will be loud, but with a cool factor. At any rate, it would not hurt to have your air fuel mixture checked on the dyno to maximize your performance with any non-stock muffler you run.

Good info, had not considered the weight until now. The main issue is the sound; it's not that loud but a little louder than I want and masks the sound of the engine. I have a 993 as a DD so not looking for that anemic a sound, but also not trying to compete with the subaru kids down the road...
Your advice is very helpful thank you. Rob |

IMHO, MFI engines run best with a stock muffler. Does it still have MFI?
