915 Trans Numbers?

I have a 915 Transmission from a 1974 911, I am trying to find out more about the transmission, where can I find out what the numbers mean? Also, There are 3 numbers that I have found.

one number is on transfer case, 915 301 102 0R

The other is on the outer Housing where the Spline is:
915 301 101 OR

Another is on the bottom..But I can only make out the last 3
digits 310

Anybody have any information?

Thanks
Tanner

Those raw casting numbers won't do you any good! What you need off the bottom rib near the drain plug are the Type Number and Serial Number.

If it is a 915/06 ... it is a 5-speed with 7:31, 4.429:1 ring & pinion.

A 915/16 is a 4-speed. Only choices for '74.
