spare tire leather straps
hi, i was looking at the treffen photos and some of the 911s have a "y" shapped leather strap holding the spare tire. does anyone know where i can get these with the hardware and if they are original to longhoods?
thanks, matt ![]() |

First of all, that doesn't appear to be an original long hood car. 2nd, the gas tank is not correct for a long hood, so neither is the collapsible spare. But, leather straps are available for luggage and a few other uses. I found the source on the Early S Registry, but I lost most of my bookmarks changing computers.

Milt,
You are correct about that not being an original long hood.. Brake booster & frame rails on tub! It sure is purdy though! P-
