Cabriolet parts

I just bought a 1983 911SC Cabriolet and have looked everywhere for this part. The problem is I don't know what it's called, and it's hard to describe. This is a hard black shaped molding that covers the Cabriolet frame hinge. It sits on top of the car frame on the top of the door post. One on each side of the car. Mine are cracked and falling apart. Anyone know what these are called, or where to get them?

Check the underside of the part for a number.

I think you are asking about the hard plastic trim piece that sits near the upper front seat belt anchor. Try this part number 911.555.763.63 and 911.555.674.63 to see if it is correct for your car. Usually the name of the part rarely is an accurate description of the part, in this case it is called rear int trim. Our host of course sell this and many other parts.

Ran into the same thing. The parts that they sell do NOT fit an '83. There is a part supercession, which does not fit the '83 cab...sorry man. You will have to find used ones or hack up the new pieces to fit, which I am not even sure is a viable option.

Thanks. Got the numbers by pulling the piece off (pieces of piece). They match the numbers you gave. I'll start looking. Thanks all.

...but when you order, you'll get a different part because of the supercession.
