Hey, thanks guys
1st time 911 owner here with an '83 coupe that came with a lot of electrical problems. After reading many a thread here I picked up some odds and ends from our host to have on hand.
Jumped in the car this morning ; it started fine but died immediately. Feared the worst (yet another weird electrical gremlin) but thought I'd try the simple fix first. Popped the hood and fuse panel cover, plucked out the old red relay and stuck in my freshly acquired new fuel pump relay. Car started right up and ran like a champ. Man, I love the easy fixes ![]() So thanks all D

Good one!
If you fel like experimenting, try spreading the 4 parts of each of the 4 prongs of the relay. Make sure the prongs are clean, and put the relay back in and try it. If it works, you have a spare.

This board is a phenomenal resource. It has helped diagnose several minor fixes with my 911.
