Size Difference SC vs 964 Rear Window

I was wondering if anyone new the actual difference in the size of an SC and 964 rear window. I was thinking about installing a 964 seal with a SC window. I realize I will be removing this to do it correctly as soon as I find thew 964 window I need.

I was going to add some material to the SC window to make it the correct size for the seal.

Yes, I did a search and know this doesn't work well.

By the way, if anyone is interested I just installed a 993 front windsheild in my SC complete with stock inside and outside trim and it fits quite well.

here is the thing about the 964 rear glass - it has a black boxed area for the third brake light. I find myself having the center of my rear vision blocked by this in my 964s. You might want to use the 964 seal but run the earlier glass and thus have better view out the back.

I understand that some 964 rear glass are different, without a hole for a wiper but I hadn't thought about the brake light blackout.

I wouldn't mind the SC rear glass but I read it was smaller than a 964 glass. I was going to "extend it" to make it fit tight with a 964 seal. My question is how much bigger is the 964 glass than an SC rear glass.

Anyone?

you might want to try the rennlist 964 forum for this question.
