2.7 Bucking When Hot
Hi, I have a 77 2.7l 911s, once she gets up to temp (170) while driving, she starts to buck and sputter and back fire. Sometimes completely shuts down. The airbox looks great, no visible cracks, and the backfire valve is properly seated and the glue, and rubber gaskets on it look great as well. This is a daily driver so I am not really pounding her hard like I would be on the track. I have recently replaced the fuel filter and the accumulator which fixed my hot start problem, now if I could just get some help with this, all my dreams would come true...thanks for any and all suggestions. I am new to this, so please be as detailed as possible with your help! Thanks again!
This is my second tank of fresh gas, with a techron like additive. Oil will be changed next go around. I am running amsoil 10-40, next time it will be the rotella 40 weight. When It is cool, it runs like a dream, only when I get to temp does it do this. |

Hi everyone, thanks for all the helpful responces!!! I ran a bottle of gumout Fuel Injector cleaner through it with my last tank, and on this tank I put in a bottle of Techron. She is running great!!!!
