Yep, I was very surprised to find he had them laying around.

First time meeting him, he seems to be a pretty cool guy although he's not to fond of my idea of wanting to backdate my car.

I know, the 9.5" rears just arent big enough. I might sell my wheels once the 17x11 Rota/Fuchs are in production. :D

I was in the shop when he came in and said, "I just sold the turbo flares." Were you driving a white truck?

Nah. Those flares were for another customer's car, but they changed their mind. They do look good on your car. Are those 16" Lindsey's on the rear of your car?

village idiot 05-15-2007 01:14 AM

Not Lindsey's but similar. Truedesign wheels did them up for me.

I think that duct tape will hold. Why are people always whining about having to weld or glue these things on?

Nice duck BTW. I am going to do that to my SC if I ever get it put back together.

village idiot 05-15-2007 09:57 AM

I only used the duct because I didn't have any bubble gum:D
I also saw an RSR 3.8 tail in the rack at Gerard's shop and that has some gears turning in my head as well.........

snbush67 05-15-2007 08:34 PM

T, Great flares.... I guess this means you will go rockerless? I bet this purchase puts you back on the fast track. I'll keep my eye out for some 2" spacers.

Have you decided to go with the Mexico Blue?

Let me know when you get ready to mount them, I've got Bubble Gum.

haycait911 05-15-2007 08:41 PM

where do you buy your shoes??? my shoe store practically never carries porsche parts and I've NEVER seen flares on the shelf! is " shopping for shoes " a hawaiian euphemism for something?:)

village idiot 05-15-2007 09:17 PM

Hey Shane, I'm thinking no rockers although Gerard has the necessary parts for me to put them on. I kinda like the car without them but we'll see. I'm still crazy for Mexico blue, but at this point everthing is still up in the air.
