911 turbo sways on a 77 911S?
Will stock sways off of a mid-eighties 911 Turbo (the rear sway bar measures 20mm, the front sway bar measures 22mm) fit a 1977 911S?
The rear has the "G-50 bend in it". The sways are currently fitted on a stock 1984 Carrera. |

They'll fit. The front will just bolt up with new, larger bushings. In the rear you'll need to get creative with the drop links as the 77 style is a ball-and-cup, while the 78 and later is a bolt on to the trailing arm. I modified my 74 drop links to work, but you can purchase aftermarket (Tarret) links that bolt to the spring plates.

Jon,
I'd like to put Carrera sway bars on my SC. Is there a difference between pre-G50 Carrera bars and G50 bars? Any difference in how they will mount on my SC? Thanks.

On an SC it's a straight bolt up in both front and rear, but you will need all new sway bar bushings. The thicker bars that you want were on Carreras from 86-89. The 86 is the only non-G50 year for these bars and the only difference is an extra bend in the middle of the bar to clear the larger transmission.
