Whaletail mesh screen

I will get my whaletail back from the body shop this week. As I reassemble it I have been thinking about the wire mesh. I will definitely replace it but I am wondering if anyone has used different mesh, etc. Lets here about and see any variations to stock.

I used one that have 1/8 squares holes. I brought it from a hardware store. Then I painted black. And looks good.

Thanks. By the way I think the originals are brass so I am going to work on those this weekend.

There are some very cool meshes out there such as those used in aftermarket front grills. I've thought painted black they could be really nice.

I think that front grills are made from aluminium. That would be great.

A photo of an original whale tail with this mesh would help. I as well need some ideas for my car's tail.

Expanded wire mesh. Not original, but it looks nice and neat.
