engine temps

I put my 85 targa on the road for a few months last summer. I had a few hot situations in traffic but I guess I was lucky...nothing major. I was going to put a fan on my oil cooler to alleviate any problems this summer. When I looked in my fender-well I realized...I don't have an oil cooler! The PO must have taken it out. So now I need to plumb a system in.
Has anyone had any experience with Glenencor's Racing "T-slot linear oil cooling line"? Glenencor is an ebay store.
I'm wondering if this can be used instead of the brass lines, under the car?

Thanks,

Al

Are you sure there is no cooler?

Are there oil lines under the passenger side sill and up throough the back/top of the passenger side front wheel well?

Nothing like this in the front wheel well?

Those lines over on eBay look like the elephant racing cooling lines. Looks like a bit of a project to get them bent correctly to fit.

Hey Bill,
I never had a reason to look for a cooler, (through the winter). My fear is of overheating in traffic this summer. I thought I'd be proactive and put a fan in first.
I went to measure for a fan and saw nothing but fender-well.
I need to check where it ends (I was in a hurry last week). I'll check under the car this weekend. I'm guessing tstat, lines, cooler and fan.

Do you think it's alright to drive like this if I watch my temp (and avoid traffic jams)?

(and I was just getting to upgrade my headlights d#%$!)

Thanks,

Al

Joe, the item description says they can be bent.
I thought it might be worth a shot if they allow for additional cooling.
I sent Genencor an email.

Its funny, they appeared to be a speed shop in Wisconsin. The reply was from a "Kim Liend" it said we have no tech available. I'm wondering if that's Wisconsin China.....Hmmm.

Thanks Bill, I guess I'm down at least another week.
