Nice work on the pedal cluster, you can do mine any day!;)
After every event I inspect the cluster.
Vacuum out the crud that under braking is forced into the Pedal cluster area.
Would the 911 pedal design have been improved greatly if the pedals were instead mounted above?
What shop is helping you with the service?

It's been a month since the last update on this project but we're almost done with it (we, meaning 95% Paul and 5% me, btw, lol). ;) :D

The engine sits on it's stand completely ready to go back into the car. It's gorgeous. Everything is clean and either powder coated black or silver or has been clear coated. The clutch and pressure plate have been replaced and engine bay is basically spotless.

The engine should be back in the car sometime this week. I'm hoping to be able to drive it on Friday or Saturday. I can't wait!

Isn't it pretty? I decided to go with a black fan shroud and silver fan. They'll complement the black car well, I think.

This is Paul (Pkaaso on this forum). He's graciously allowed me to work on the car and engine any time I've wanted to and has done a great job. He works fast and is willing to go the extra mile repeatedly. He's a great guy.

That's funny! You're right, now that I look at it. At first glance, it does look like it has a Ford 9" rear-end. ;)

Well, it's done! I'm so happy to have that car back in my garage after almost three months. The engine is absolutely leak free and runs beautifully. I looks great too!

She got a good wash today and afterward I drove her about 30 miles around town taking care of things that needed to be done. What a treat to be in that sweet driving machine again. I had forgotten how much I missed that go-cart like feel.

A few minor things were done to give the car a bit more horsepower and a broader powerband with a little more low to mid range torque and I really noticed it today. Also, the clutch action is simply amazing! It's the smoothest, lightest clutch I've ever felt in any air cooled 911! :D :D

Finally, I want to thank Paul for taking on this job and letting me get in his way just about any time I felt like it. He was very gracious. He did a great job (of course) and gave me a heck of a good deal. If any of you guys ever need some work done to your car, give him a call at 949-609-0971.

Anyway, here's a picture of the engine in the car. It's not the best picture but it gives an idea of how nice the engine bay looks. The ugly electric heater fan and duct assembly is only in there temporarily. I'll be back-dating the heat probably next month in order to get a much more pleasing view of the left side of the engine bay. I'll take another picture when that's done.

Thanks Chris! I'll be driving the black car a bit more, just to get re-acquainted with her.

I suppose I should have taken the obligatory standing-in-the-empty-engine-bay picture. Dohh. I suppose the shot of the car up on the lift with the engine underneath it will have to suffice. It's on the middle of this page.
