Angry still won't start

2.7-3.2 Conversion
I still can't get this to fire. I checked and I am getting power to the coil when the engine turns over, but still no spark. I have 12 volts on the ground terminal on the coil.. Is this normal? Everything else has checked out i.e. ref sens, grounds, and connections. Anyone have any ideas???
Thanks!!

The coil is brand new from Pelican of course! The DME Relay clicks when I turn the key to the "on" position then clicks again when the starter turns? Is this normal?

Have you checked the distributor for moisture? Pull the cap, ask me how I know!! after washing mine and when it rain really hard it was hard to start. Then after a wash wouldn't start at all, pulled cap, water!!!

Yeah I had the cap off and everything looked clean. I guess I will go back and check the sensors again. I have read tons of articles and still don't really have a clue or a direction. I have narrowed it down to no spark from the coil. I have fuel to the injectors, but no spark.
Thanks

Check and see if your are getting the collapse voltage to the Low Tension leads on the coil.

I am presuming you're using a 3.2 distributor with the magnets.

Is this wired correctly to the DME and CDI?

Good luck.

Did you also check for fuel delivery/ pressure? It looks like on 85- models there is a cutoff of fuel and spark from the alarm control unit. I know your concern is spark, but the alarm on later years cuts off both fuel and spark.

This engine was pulled from a running (so I was told) 85 and then transplanted into my car. I was thinking about the alarm but not sure if I want to go down that road! Yeah I am not sure what to do?

kelly, I think you have to intall the alarm module and then disable it. I don't know if the dme will even work if you leave it out.

There are a few guys who have done this transplant. Try calling GPR in San Luis Obispo, Ca. Or Ottos in Venice or Patrick Motorsport. Actually, try Patrick Motorsport first, they have been helpful to me in the past.

after we reinstalled my 3.2 my crank triggers were a hair too far away from the flywheel, which kept it from starting.....
is the coil firing while cranking?
