'83 SC Cabriolet

I just purchased this car, an '83 SC Cabriolet, that is completely stock and am having a little problem.

The car starts fine initially when its cold. I can drive it a short time and park it for a few hours. When I attempt to start the car, it fires right up, then stalls. On the second try, the car starts fine and will idle fine. However, when I try to drive it, it will stumble and it feels like its starving for gas. After revving the engine a few times, or coaxing it to run, the car is fine. I'm assuming it is one of the sensors in the fuel injection.

Any ideas???

thanx

Could be the acculmulator or the check valve in the fuel pump neck.....usually it won't start at all. Put some fuel pressure gauges on it when warm....

I don't know if this would have anything to do with it or not but the PO replaced the original Ignition box with an MSD SCI-L unit. Apparently the original box died and, from what he said, the car didn't exhibit the problem its currently having until after in put the MSD box into it. Apparently, the MSD box did not have the 6-wire connector that the original one had. When I spoke with him about it, he felt that going to a 6-wire Ignition box would solve the problem. Any thoughts on this???? I'll admit I haven't done a whole lot of research on this problem yet, just trying to get ideas.
