Hella 118 lens removal?
Does anyone have experience removing the lenses of Hella 118 through-the-grill lights. There is a small gap at one point on the chrome rim piece. Im not sure whether to pry it off. I tried unscrewing/twisting it off but it just spun a bit. Heres a pic. Thanks.

Brian,
You have to remove the retainer clip (flat head screw into the mount) just below the bezel (trim ring) first. That clip curves up and clamps the bezel/lense to the case. Once the clip is removed, gently get between the bezel and the case at the bottom of the light and seperate. The top of the case has a lip that the bezel fits on so you cannot just pull the top away either. Once the bezel and lense is away from the case you will see the retainer springs that keep the lense sealed to the reflector. Carefully remove the springs by gently pressing down on the long ends. They fit up under the trim ring lip. Once the springs and trim rings are out of the way you can seperate the lense from the seal and reflector. Good luck.
