1989 Silver Anniversary Purchase

well, i am back. i sold my euro "special wishes" moss green 84 911 to a friend at work several months ago. another friend bought a Countach and needed to make some room in the garage, so i bought his 911 and Esprit SE.


there are so many small things about having an 89 that i have been gradually noticing from the early euro car. the G50 is a big plus, but the cars " look" the same, but drive very differently.

i had no idea what a" anniversary" car was, or that they made 60 black metallic ones until i insured it. Hagerty knew what it was by the vin number.


anyone know where to get the small raised crests that go on the center caps?

the caps are very expensive, and i only want to replace the damaged raised crests !

I have a Silver Anniversary model also. Not sure about those badges on the wheel center caps. I think someone added them at a later time. My car just has the embossed crest.

The brake rotors look neat but I don't think they are stock.

By the way car look super! Rarely do you see a black SA.

The crests on the caps are add-ons. You can buy 356 badges that will fit. The trick is to make sure that the posts are diagonal so that they fit the holes on your caps. I have been looking for a pair of used ones (I have 2 and need 2 more). Let me know if you replace yours-I'd be interested in your old ones.
