Power window problem

My passenger side electric window stopped working this weekend. I am assuming it is the window regulator that is the problem. How big of a job is it to change it out? Can anyone direct me to step by step instructions on replacing it?

I would check the switch first before assuming the regulator is bad.

I had an intermittant problem with my driver's side window last year. Turns out it was the switch.

I dont think it is the switch. Both with passager and driver side switches I have downward movement but not upward. The window has been slower than the driver side for awhile now.
If one switch was bad would it affect the switch on the other side?

It affected one of mine. I forgot which one though.

It looks like the motor is the problem. How hard is it to replace?

I had EXACTLY the same symptoms. Would only go down, not up. It was the passenger switch and it affected the driver's side switch.

Shoot, as inexpensive as switches are, I'd always try that first.

Tcar is right, the same thing happened to mine. And one switch did affect both windows. Been awhile, I replaced both switches and no issues. PLEASE pay close attention to the wires there are about four on each switch. You do not want to get them crossed.

You guys were right. It was the switch.
