930 and Third Brake Light Question
The 930 is back! I plan on doing some long road trips and have some concerns about not having a third, center brake light.
I have one of those little goose neck , ET style brake lights that mounted on the front lip of the spoiler on the later 930 models. I have not installed it. I am not wild about drilling a hole in the hood. Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions for a third brake light? Shoud I drill or not drill? Any Pictures? LED lights? Thanks. JoeF |

I hate the way those things look so I took mine off a couple years ago and left it off. It looks way better now IMO. I've taken many road trips with out it and never had a problem or close calls.
I know you'll hate me for this, but do a search there are a few alternatives for a third brake light. I wouldn't drill holes in that car for that light.

Joe,
You could change the rear window glass for one that has the third brake light provision. No holes that way. Personally, I think they are not necessary. JR Last edited by javadog; 05-24-2007 at 06:05 PM.. |

you can go with a third brake light spoiler from a 993 coupe (providing that your ride is a coupe) no drilling and it's oem. clean looks as well as being a spoiler.
