70 T trunk

1-Hi everyone, Im restoring one of my cars and I need to know how is the correct painting job for the trunk.

BLACK or BAHIA RED as the exterior or how is that.

2-I want to put in work the two batteries and I was wondering if someone has the Electric diagram of that system

Some pics of my car (3rd owner, 2nd in the papers)

This Web page shows how the two batteries are wired in parallel. http://www.pelicanparts.com/911/911_Parts/Electrical/911_electrical_1971_Part-1.jpg

I think the trunk may be black. If I am not mistaken, the folks at the Early 911S Registry BBS (http://www.early911sregistry.org/forum/index.php) have a thread or 2 on this topic.

I do know that for a 72 and 73, the trunk should be the same color as the body.

Geez, it makes me nervous seeing an angle grinder that close to a car as nice as yours... what were you grinding?

my initial thought as well!

My '70T shows body color in the trunk (which was later painted over with black as the car endured a color change).

There have been some threads discussing the theory that, for earlier cars (e.g. '70, which is what got my attention), there may have been a difference between Karmann- and Porsche (Reutter?)-built bodies -- that bodies from one were painted black and the other body color. I'm not sure there's been a definitive answer on this forum, and I don't recall getting a clear answer when I asked.

For what it's worth: Have a look is this original - 1970 E?

In theory the Karmann bodies should be black but mine is a karman, and it is painted red and the tank is black, should have been gray but over the years it changed some say that.. I'm not sure what to do, all the car is red but it is a karman .

My car is a '70, production date 10/69, and it was painted the same color as the car. It was originally white, here is a pic.
