Cup Wheels ???

Can anyone tell me anything about these wheels? There is a set available to me for $350. What will they fit? The description is somewhat vague: Details are HR +4 215 / 40R17 / 83H. Thanks.

I have a set of those for track. 993 Cup wheels. $350 is a steal if they are in decent shape. Fwiw, I paid $650 for mine and thought that was a good deal. 55 offset.

Are you just getting the fronts?-the description you left is for a 215 series tire, -that would be the front, the cup 17in rims are generally 7.5 and 9in for width, and folks run either a 215 or a 225 on the front, and a 245 or 255 on the rear.

350 for a correct set of 4, with tires is a great deal. New the rims are 1200 or so (for reproductions) and tires 4-600.

Just got back from looking at the wheels. The tires probably aren't even worth consideration. All four wheels are 993 362 124 00, 7Jx17. I looked at three of them pretty close, but lost interest when I got to the third 7". I didn't see any curb rash on them and they were generally pretty clean, even the back sides. At this point I don't even have a car to put them on, but I'm looking pretty hard for the right 87-89 911 coupe. Is there any reason to pick these up, or should I just let them end up on another VW?

Those won't fit a 87-89 without spacers, wrong offset.

Sounds like two sets of fronts. Too bad.

Milwaukee craigslist, if anyone's interested. I'm about 15 minutes away from the seller.
