46mm Carbs Running Rich

Here's my set-up on my hot rod 3.0 w/46 PMO's.
AV's 4.5
Venturis 38
Main Jets 150
Idle Jets 55
Idle Airs 130
Airs 180
Emulsion Tubes F11
FBVCV's 50

I'm far from an expert and looking for advice. It is running rich and seems a low on HP for the set-up. Thinking about going to 160 main jets. Comments, thoughts, suggestions??

Tia, John

John,
I can't give you the specifics you're looking for. However, a call to PMO might provide some recommendations. Also, check the archives for what others with similar equipment use.

I can suggest that the venturis (38mm) might be too large for your engine. Maybe even the 46s. 40mm Webers might be closer to your application.

160 main jets would be larger and thus provide a richer mixture than the 150s you have now.
