MFI cable connections

Hello,

I have almost finished installing my 2.0 911S rebuilt MFI pump. The tags on the cables have fallen and now I'm not sure which cable goes up or down in the two electrical connections.

Is important or they can be pluged in any of both? If it is, can someone check the colors of the top and bottom cable?

Thanks,

Josep

Well, yes for a '69 with two solenoids they are extremely important. The bottom solenoid is the stop solenoid for the rack which should be hooked to a gray wire with red stripe from the overrun microswitch. The other one is the enrichment solenoid.

Gray wire with red stripe from one terminal of the microswitch to the bottom stop solenoid, gray with white stripe to the top from the cold-start relay Kl. 87. to the top enrichment solenoid. Get them reversed and not only will the car not start, if it does and you lift off you will get the world's largest backfire!

Photo of later pump, which had the stop solenoid only. You can see the spot where the enrichment solenoid is missing.
