Oil pressure at WOT

What are acceptable oil pressure numbers at full throttle?

You would like to see around 10PSI for every 1000 RPM. Although not everyone will agree, I think is pretty much the standard for most HP engines.

5000RPM=50PSI

Thats what i have always heard, 10psi-1 bar for every 1000rpm. Is it linear up to redline?

Should be linear, 1 bar / 1000 rpm.

Is yours non-linear?

Many cars are not linear. Later 911 (964,993) cars seem to have higher oil pressure at idle and low RPM than earlier cars. Porsche has a spec for each car. The guidance of 10 PSI to 1 bar per 1000 RPM is a good guide for early cars. Throttle position should have no effect on oil pressure except to influence the RPM the engine is at.

If you imply WOT = max rpms then the oil pressure should be @ 5bars (maxed out).

I should probably have added that the motor is a twin plug 3.5 making about 270rwhp. I have pretty aggresive cams, so my idle is about 1300 with 40psi oil pressure. Oil temp is generally around 150-180 unless it is really hot or i am stop and go. Normal driving and midrange acceleration pressure stays between 60 and 100, but if i really romp on it it will spike up above 100 and drop back down in betwen shifts.

After doing some research with the search button, i am not as concerned as i was, but i'm still going to check the sender and pressure with a mechanical gauge.
