LA/SD/SOCG: Motion is in motion...THE OFFICIAL GOING AWAY PARTY
Hey guys,
Motion (Richard) is leaving our glorious state of California with his P-car and we need to send him off in a good way. I would like to propose a happy hour get together with all/anybody that can make it to send Motion off in a way that only us P-car guys can do. I am still confirming dates but clear your schedules please. Chris

Ok the days to choose from are this Friday/Saturday night. I am thinking about the Irvine Spectrum Yardhouse say around 5:30pm/6pm. I am in and I have cleared with Richard so lets make it happen. Let me know what day works for you guys so I can confirm as soon as possible. I know its short notice but we have put together runs in less time.

Wa'd I miss? Richard is leaving the OC? Not going to LA I presume, so it must be NY. Fri night Labor Day weekend out of LA County to the IS might be a tough one, but I'll give it some thought. Richard and I have zigged while the other one zagged for way too long. We never met. If I don't make it, well, best wishes to you, Richard.

Thank you for trying to get this going! Guys, hope to see some of you if we can make this happen. I wanted to have a chance to meet up with everyone one last time, but things have been crazy the past couple of months organizing this move. I hope some of you can make it and give me a chance to thank you in person for being such great friends over the years. Damn, that sounds so final... but it's not. I'm taking the Carrera 4 with me to Red Lodge, Montana and wil,l of course, still be poking around the boards here. I'm pretty sure good Porsche wrenches are going to be hard to find up north - will miss Hergesheimer's excellent care - so will have to rely on more of my challenged DIY skills. The Pelican's haven't heard the last of me yet! Into the future, if anyone finds themselves in the area (Tetons, Yellowstone, Billings, Bozeman) you'll need to stop by and say hello. Red Lodge is a pretty cool little town surrounded by awesome roads. I'm planning on being there from April to Sept/Oct each year, and wintering in Brazil and/or somewhere in Europe. Hope to see you this weekend!

Guys,
Looking good so far. Thank you for the quick responses. Richard, If in your European travels you get to Norway, look up the Kvikne's Hotel, its on one of the fjords. I stayed there one night with my family back in 2003 and it is one of the most tranquil places ever. Here is a picture from then, this was taken about 12:30am.
