HELP Clicking from under passenger seat.

I have an 81SC. I installed a new alternator from our host but the transplant was rejected. I took it to a shop in AA. He rewired the alternator and now I have a clicking coming from under the passenger seat unless I am pressing on the throttle. Did I kill the Lambda computer ??? Thanks, Mike.

Sounds like the Lambda relay that's clicking.

What is the problem and what is the correction? Is this a DIY project? Mike

Hello m_wuebben,
When I had the problem with my relay clicking, my engine was cutting out on me. This only happened after the car was warmed up. After I let off the gas, it would click like crazy and then the engine would die. Jimmy Deering (MobileWorks) came out and tweak my fuel mixture and the air flow sensor plate; problem was solved. No more clicking or engine dying. Since you don't have the same issues as I did, try changing out the relay. It might work. It's a simple pull the old one out and plug in the new one. If you do a search for "lambda relay" you should be able to find pictures. Hope this helps.

Sergio
