Exhaust dilema?
Hi, i'm having trouble deciding what to do with my 1989 3.2 targa" exhaust system. The pre muffler/silencer needs replacing, the muffler/silencer has been repaired about a year ago but isn't too healthy and the heat exchangers are ok-ish. Also the rear oil lines need replacing including the one to the crankcase. My dilema is whether to just replace the pre-muffler and maybe the muffler or buy a whole new system including heatexchangers. But which system to get, i have heard good reports about Dansk systems and also SSi heat exchangers, are they compatable?
My budget isn't endless so i can't go mad . I'm really stuck at the minute so any advice would be great cheers ![]() |

SSI's with a Dansk 2 in 1 out is a nice setup. I picked up the stuff used and cost around $1,000 US for everything (including the oil lines). If you need to go a cheaper route, buy a CAT bypass pipe and get a decent 1 in 1 out Dansk muffler. Here's a picture of the setup I put on my 80SC.

Another option if budget is a concern. Buy a complete stock system from the many who have removed theirs for SSI's or other various combinations of exhaust systems. Should be able to do that for under $500 bucks US. Not sure about shipping to the Europe though.
