MFI Pump Drive Shaft Seal Leaking. Arrrrgh!

I seem to recall that seal kits for MFI pumps are very hard to come by, and very expensive. When installing my MFI pump this weekend, I was distressed to see that the oil I was filing the pump with was steadily dripping back out. It's coming from the seal around the drive shaft. Any chance that this seal can be matched up with something not specifically for this application? Can I change the seal (if I get one) without major disassembly requiring special tools, knowledge, and a German accent?

There is a chance you could find another seal that would work. Why don't you just call Gus and ask if he'll sell you a seal? He's busy, but that might be worth a shot

Scott-
I think that is a good idea. I'll call today to see what he says.

Gus will sell me what I need. A complete gasket set is $118. Not too bad. Individual parts are also available.
