Need help hooking up fuel tank...
I am trying to hook up the stock fuel tank to my 1973 911S. The car came with a tank, uninstalled. The tank has three holes on the backside. I'm assuming that the one at the very bottom between the two other holes is the drain. I've examined the parts schematic in the Porsche 72/73 Spare Parts manual and it is not totally clear as to what parts I need for each one of the holes. The car does not have a gas heater.
So far, I have part 90120102304 & 90120102305, tank fuel filter & fuel tank cap, respectively. Both of these parts have an attached filter. The difference between the two is the size of the hose connections, 6mm and 8mm. Based on the diagram, I thought that these were for the two larger holes and one was the supply (8mm) and the other is the return (6mm). I cannot determine which part I need to plug the third hole, which appears tapered. Has anyone been down this road before? Pictures and part numbers would be helpful. Thanks in advance for the help. Keith

I've seen pics of the CIS tanks posted here before. A search might find them for you.
But is it a CIS tank? Do you have a 1973 per se, or a 1973.5 car?
