NY / NJ / CT Spring Fun Run
It's that time of the year again and I'm hoping this thread will spark another great run in and around the Hudson Valley.
I'm actually in Chicago now and heading to Amsterdam tomorrow so I'm hoping this post will initiate the "great date debate" that usually follows. Let's start things off with Saturday May 26th??? Looking forward do seeing all again and talking through everyone's winter projects. .best... Oliver

I actually like the date. But, keep in mind that Lime Rock has the Rolex GT, SCCA World Challenge, and Koni Cup ST and GT there that weekend. Saturday is the Koni Cup ST race. The others are on monday. I will do the drive, but head north to LRP in time for the afternoon myself, if thats the date of choice..

I like the idea of an early run that ends at LRP. I'm in for what ever we decide.
Speaking of LRP,Phoenix are you going to the Hemmings Sport & Exotic show again this year ?It's on Sunday the 27th. Look's like allnight detailing after the Saturday run though. Ending at LRP I think is a great idea. the perfect end to a Porche run.
Larry - yes, I'll likely go to the show. Last year I made it into the next issue albeit only with a small foto of me poloshing the hood. Who knows, this year I may get a repeat :-) What's teh process to get this sticky'd?

Well, color me out. I don't have any street tires for my race car and my street car is undergoing restoration. I will, however, get some street tires and be at the IMSA Porsche Corral on July 7th at the Lime Rock ALMS race.

It's been over a week since Phoenix proposed this run & we don't seem to be getting much responce.Maybe the Memorial week end is not the right time.How does june 2nd or 3rd sound?Any thoughts on how to get this rolling?

Looks like other plans for LRP are in the works for saturday as well. I peeled this off from the Early S Registry...
"Early S Reg EC meet - Hemmings show @ Lime Rock, May 27th 2007 We're organizing a getogether for the Early S Registry East Coast chapter to coincide with Hemmings show @ Lime Rock. Date: May 27th, 2006 Place : franks garage @ lime rock Time : 12pm -> 2pm Event : Our own concours for early cars with lunch We will meet at the garage, in the back at 12noon. We will order some lunch, 6ft sub ... salad ... simple. Everybody can chip in for lunch, it'll only be a couple of bucks. We'll sell some t-shirts/badges for the registry etc. Hemmings show is 10am-> 3pm, with registration @ 8am in Lime rock park, so you can go to show if you want and then come over to the garage for lunch, and meet up. email me if you have questions: karlodonoghue@gmail.com Lets see if we can get a good crowd together, because you all know that you have some seriously nice cars out there, and it would be good to put name with handle (lightweight or not )" I havn't met any of the early S crowd yet, and I'm planning on making the trip weather permitting.

Thanks for the update Joe.
We could also move the date to June 2nd or 3rd if that helps people. It's been very quiet out there in terms of response. This time last year the thread was buzzing rather well. In other words we're talking either a run: - on Saturady the 26th to LRP Grand-Am GT Classic - on Sunday the 27th to the LRP Hemmings show - on 2nd or 3rd as our usual run to the German restaraunt near New Paltz A lot of options. What do you all think?

I think I'm in for the Sat to Lime Rock.
I'm probably out for Sunday. Not sure an the following week. I'm guessing this fell off the first page quickly, and nobody has seen it. A sticky would help.

You guys realize that the first weekend of June is the Zone 1 Watkins Glen PCA club race. How about SUNDAY JUNE 10th?
