coil problem causing...............?

hello, i am having an intermittent no start problem, verified no spark, i have fuel, coil is leaking a little oil and i was wondering if its possible that could be my problem. i have never heard of an interment coil issue but thats why I'm asking others opinion. any ways to test the coil. i hate trying to diagnose intermittent problems, errrrrrrrr. im trying to rule out the CD box
