Looking for Targa Top Restoration feedback (Bay Area)
Someone recommended Jack @ Jeda Generations Auto
(220 Barnard Ave # B San Jose, CA 95125) Has anyone had their Targa Top restored by Jack? I spoke with him on the phone and from our conversation, he sounds like he has been doing Targa top restorations for a long time. What about TargetTops/Palo Alto Upholstery? Feedback? I've read the positive feedback on Dan @ Carsinc, but I'd like to use someone local if possible. My top needs a full restore. Thanks in advance, and if you prefer to PM me and not post, that's fine. |

Its hard to beat the feedback for Dan P. He is the expert on them and while I try to use someone local when possible, do not believe that you will ever find anyone even close to his expertise.

I used Targa Tops in PA a couple of years ago to recover my top and really liked the work they did.

I would trust that he would do a good job. I did not know the person who refurbished mine, but he did an excellent job. He even suggested a better than original material and I am very pleased with the outcome. The updated material did just that, gave it an updated look.

I asked dan bout using something other than the stock vynil. he said the other doesnt stay good looking very long and is hard to glue down. but i would think that nce looking canvas they use on the new caonvertables would look great.

I can certainly recommend Palo Alto Upholstery / Target Tops. They did my top back in '02 and it still looks like brand new and fits perfectly.

For what it's worth, Dan P. did a great job on our '78 SC. He even went the extra mile and replaced a missing safety retainer latch for no extra charge. The top looks great and fits much snugger than it did previously.
A top notch guy to work with and no hassles on the shipping from Central Illinois to the East Coast and back. Mike

Same here with Dan. Top fits absolutely perfect and the workmanship is second to none.
